This bold and uniquely flavored burger is grilled and served on a soft pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese and this zesty mustard aioli.

  • 3/4 cup
  • 1 Tbsp.
    Roasted garlic
  • 3 Tbsp.
    French's® Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 3/4 tsp.
  • 2 tsp.
    Sage leaves, fresh, minced
  • 1 each
    Pretzel bun
  • 2 Tbsp.
  • 1 slice
  • 1/4 slice
    Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Tbsp.
    Balsamic glaze
  • 1 each
    Hamburger patty


  1. For Spicy Mustard Sage Aioli: Combine mayonnaise, garlic, French's® Spicy Brown Mustard, honey and sage. Hold refrigerated for service. Yields 1 cup
  2. To Build Burger: Top bottom bun with lettuce, tomato, cheese and glaze. Add patty and spread with 1 Tbsp. Spicy Mustard Sage Aioli. Close burger. Serve

Tips . Hints . Variations

  • The use of fresh herbs provides a fragrant fresh aroma and flavor.
  • However fresh herbs in a spread or dip will decrease the shelf life of the product.
  • If you choose to use dry herbs, hydrate them in lemon juice, milk or warm water before mixing.
  • Try this recipe with French’s Dijon and for menu variety consider replacing sage with thyme, savory or oregano.
  • This decadent and upscale spread is also wonderful on a steak sandwich or roast beef baguette.
