  • 8 dozen Cleaned oysters
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 9 cups Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup CATTLEMEN'S® Gold Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/4 cup FRANK'S® REDHOT® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • as needed Chopped parsley
  • as needed Sliced scallion


  • 1.   For each serving, shuck 8 oysters, remove from shell and reserve juice.
  • 2.   Melt 1 tbsp. butter over low heat; whisk in 1 tbsp. flour. Blend in 2 oz. oyster juice and 3/4 cup heavy cream. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Simmer over low heat until thickened, stirring often.
  • 3. Mix Gold BBQ and RedHot sauce together to create Gold Fever Sauce.
  • 4.   Add 8 oysters and 1 tbsp. Gold Fever Sauce. Simmer 3 minutes until oysters are cooked. Serve stew in large bowl. Garnish with parsley and scallion. If desired, drizzle with additional Gold Fever Sauce.
